I have recently started using this blog as a journal,its kinda used to improve my writing skills by writing about the stuff that i have observed in the day.So today as i can see from my title it is on Ah Pek(which means old uncle in Hokkien).
After my usual Saturday lessons,I headed down to the nearest coffeeshop to have my lunch.It was then that i started looking around the area noticing many senior citizens that were lazing around.They were probably retirees that are enjoying their remaining golden days.As I looked across the avenue ,I saw a Singapore Pools Betting Station,and as usual,the crowd of Ah Peks.
I thought deeply as i sipped my bitter-sweet local coffee why would they waste their time away doing stuff like this.Firstly, it waste their time away and secondly,they are wasting their precious retirement fund away.
As I look upon the Singapore flag flying in the wind,I wondered how its economy would rise as people continue this type of actions.
As we get older,we start to have more and more temptations,and i hope that these maybe positive temptations....
